Guy Johnston returns to Mapperton

The highly acclaimed cellist Guy Johnston returns to All Saints Church at Mapperton to play three of the Bach cello suites, numbers 1, 5 and 6along with a short piece by Sir John Tavener. He played the first three suites at a concert in the church last year.

The concert is in aid of Future Talent and Mapperton Gardens.

Lady Sandwich said: “We’re delighted to welcome Guy Johnston back to Mapperton for what we hope will be another wonderful concert. The acoustics in the church are very good and we hope that as many people will join us as last year for an evening of excellent music at Mapperton.”

The gardens open from 5pm for concert-goers to amble around the gardens and choose picnic spots, while the Coach House café will be open for drinks and light refreshments from 6pm.

The concert begins at 7pm with supper available in the Coach House café from 8.30pm.
