The Coach House (formerly The Sawmill Café) serves a delicious selection of light meals, burgers, gourmet sandwiches (developed with the Earl of Sandwich himself!) and cakes with a fine selection of teas, soft drinks and outstanding coffee. Brunch is also available from 10am, and there is a Sunday roast each Sunday.
The Coach House is licensed and offers a selection of wines, beers and cider. There is plenty of space to sit inside the converted 17th century building, or you are welcome to sit outside and watch the resident cockerels, chickens, ducks, giant tortoises and doves.
Families with children are welcome and there are lavatory facilities with disabled access.
Mapperton South Stable Block Conversion
Mapperton Estate was awarded a grant of £140,000 towards the cost of converting a seventeenth century stable block into a new cafe and events space. The grant comes from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development. Construction work is now complete.
