‘We’re Good To Go’ And Coach House Cafe Re-Opening

‘We’re Good To Go’ and Coach House Cafe Re-Opening

The Coach House Café re-opens this Sunday 5th July for takeaways, and we’re looking forward to welcoming our customers again.  Mark and Emma will be offering a ‘highlights’ menu including hot and cold drinks, delicious cakes and cream teas, sandwiches, toasties and light lunches.

Initially opening on Saturdays and Sundays from 11am to 3pm, the takeaway range can be ordered onsite at the café – in fact, please feel free to order lunch or afternoon tea before you set off for a walk around the gardens, and set a time for collection to suit your plans.   As before, the cafe will also be open to visitors who are not visiting the gardens.

We’ve successfully obtained our VisitEngland ‘We’re Good To Go’ COVID-19 certification, designed to provide a ‘ring of confidence’ for businesses, attractions and destinations as well as reassurance to local residents and visitors that clear processes are in place.

It’s important that you enjoy your time with us at Mapperton and feel safe doing so, we’ve carried out a full COVID-19 risk assessment and deep clean of the cafe prior to re-opening.  In addition to our usual high standards you’ll also notice:

⭐️ Our wooden counter now has a protective screen for everyone’s safety while placing an order

⭐️ All Cafe touch points will be cleaned hourly

⭐️ Our loos are open, with social distancing guides in place

⭐️ Hand sanitiser stations are available at points around the site, remember to wash your hands frequently, and keep your distance from other visitors

⭐️ Please follow any one-way systems indicated

⭐️ Takeaway customers are welcome to use the outdoor picnic seating available

Emma and Mark will be familiar faces to many of our customers, and Head Chef Mark has been very busy volunteering and producing meals for the local community while the cafe has been closed.  The new normal for re-opening brings necessary changes, however Emma’s happy face and cheery hello remains the same.
