Daffodils at Mapperton Gardens

Daffodil Week

Come and enjoy Mapperton Gardens in the Spring sunshine. The Gardens will be open from Sunday 9th to Thursday 13th March, 11am – 3pm, for Daffodil Week. Tickets purchased in advance or on the day.

Take delight in the swathes of bright yellow daffodils along the grassy banks where snowdrops are still holding strong. The early crocus (thomasinianus) is making a blue carpet under the great Acer Griseum and primroses are flourishing around the grottoes and in the lawns. The camellias are still showing their extravagant blooms and the gardens are truly waking up to Spring.

Toilet facilities will be open but The Coach House café will be closed (until we reopen for the Season on March 30th). We encourage visitors to bring a flask and picnic and enjoy our outdoor seating to make the most of the day. The Orangery is warm and a delight to sit in with the citrus trees and sheltering tree ferns (dicksonia antarctica and squarrosa).

Admission is £7.50 per adult (half off our normal garden entry) and under 15s are free. Tickets can be purchased in advance or on the day and there is free parking. Book advanced tickets online here.

Please note: NO DOGS are allowed in the formal gardens but they are welcome in the grounds of The Coach House.

The event is finished.
