Galanthus nivalisis Latin for milk-white flower of snow, and its arrival is sometimes interpreted as the first sign of spring. With another mild December the snowdrops are appearing early at Mapperton so we have 4 Snowdrop Sundays for 2025.
Most of the snowdrops at Mapperton can be found in the arboretum, while other spring flowers have started to make an appearance in other parts of the garden, including crocuses, hellebores, camellias and of course daffodils.
Admission to Snowdrop Sundays is just £7.50 per person (half price our normal garden entry fee) with under 15s free. Tickets purchased in advance.
